Democracy in Chile

Have you ever wondered how democracy looks in different countries or if they even have democracies ? Well today we’re going to talk about Chile's democracy. Chile is a spanish speaking country in south america. Chile was able to gain their independence in february 12, 1818. Chile's government is a representative democratic republic. This means that the president of chile is both the head of state and the head of the government. Which is also a formal multi-party system. In Chile a president is chosen by an absolute majority of votes. This comes to show that people have a right to vote for who they believe is the best for their country. And in a candidate that they believe that will represent them truly. They run similar to the one in the United States branches of government, Chile has 3, executive, judicial, and legislative. This allows for control of power. With this it allows for the government to be controlled and not take advantage of the power they have. Chile's democracy is very similar to that of the United states, but obviously not exactly the same. In every county democracy or if they even have one is different and sometimes similar to one another.
